Slovenia and Australia are definitely both no teams who are favourites to be relegated in Group A. But both teams showed on May, 17th, that even the "minor" floorball countries can play a great match.
Though there were no goals in first and second third, the match was just fantastic with two teams who were not that good in technical things, but showing great heart and giving each other a great fight. In third period, Slovenia managed to get a 2-0 lead. Though Australia fought back and nipped the ball over the line to come back to 2-1, they could not keep pressure and made a bad mistake short after their goal to give Slovenia a third one on the scoreboard. Australia tried everything to turn the match and got two empty-net goals, before they could score themselves short before the fat lady sang.
This B group match was really a great fight with two teams showing a fantastic spirit. Though Slovenia was slightly better, no team deserved to loose in that one.
